I Love Hits and Web Biz Insider Sitting Balances

August 26, 2008

I Love Hits and Web Biz Insider continue to experience sitting balance issues, the only 2 in the current Top 20, August 26 Hit Exchange Report. On average, none of the Top 20 have sitting balances.

No, credits from purchases are not counted and all exchanges are given at least 24-hours to liquidate from current assignments.

Our testing team goal is for liquidation, and therefore each makes adjustments by adding URLs, spreading credits to many URLs, etc. to achieve this goal. We do not expect 100% liquidation and give great consideration before noting any balances. And no, couple hundred hits in balance is no big deal and never noted. What we are looking for is a slow-down, a problem, a noticeable backlog.

A sitting balance issue is most often created by a slow down in surfer activity and/or credit management/a backlog from sales, bonuses, etc.

Sitting balances are only ONE COMPONENT of many equal components that contribute to overall rankings. This stat, by itself, may or may not be important to you, but in the big picture it’s worth noting.

Both I Love Hits and Web Biz Insider are good exchanges and overall continue to rank well in the Top 20. These exchanges are popular and considered leaders in this online advertising world, and typically do not have a sitting balance issue.

The Hit Exchange Report is updated every Tuesday. Next update: August 26, 2008.

The owner of I Love Hits posted this question today on their Internet forum:

You say you dont use purchased credits in your evaluation. Just checked your account. You have 11 URLs (out of a possible 30 you could have)…3 of those dont have a single credit assigned to it. One has 3700 credits assigned to it (sorry dude, you wont get those delivered in 24 hours) and the others have 5, 10, 15, 33, 16 and 90.

how is this a sitting balance? ILH delivers over 100 hits at least per URL per day…So?

Our previously posted response:

Again, we don’t count purchased credits at all, never have. My own ILH account this AM has a sitting balance of more then 1300 hits, majority assigned days ago or left over from last week, and not counting more then 4000 hits left over from a purchase, not counted and purposely placed in a separate URL. Overall, and in the big picture, this is no big deal as a sitting balance is only one of many equal components (Delivery + Unique + Sitting Balance + Bounce Rate + New Visitors + Actual Results = Overall Ranking), and why ILH continues to rank high, regardless of a sitting balance.

And our posted response today:

No, purchased credits are not account, and if David did so, your sitting balance would be a lot higher than 2.8% (current report). Last week it was around 8.8%. Big picture, no big deal other than the fact most top 20 have zero, and the reason why you continue to rank high.

In recent days, I login to my ILH account and purposely assigned 100 hits to 5-7 URLS. Login again 24-hours later and slightly less than 50 each was delivered. I have seen ILH deliver 100 hits URL/day, but not lately.

I have noted my 5000/4000/now around 3000 hits, purchased, purposely left in one URL to never count in stats.

Posted response by owner of I Love Hits:

here’s my stats pulled about an hour ago:

ILH - Daily Test 63 52 83%

That’s 63 hits, 52 unique, 83% u.h.r

So…..whose tracking is right?

edit - 63 hits so far today….and another 8 hours to go before my tracker turns over. I’m sorry dude, but less than 50 hits per day you claim? something isnt right.

And our response:

So are you telling me that in the past 30-days or even the past 7-days, you have delivered at or more than 100 hits URL/day, everyday?

And are you saying that ILH has had no credit backlog in the past 3-weeks, the 3-weeks we reported such?

Every Top 20 Hit Exchange owner can testify whether or not we knit/picking the reporting of sitting balances, and whether or not hits purchased are counted. Go talk with Traffic-Splash, EasyHits4U, Hit2Hit, etc. We buy a lot, I’m upgraded too much, I win lots of contest and bonuses …

Who tracker is right? Sitting balance numbers come from each exchange and not our tracker.
